First Reaction

The first thing that stood out to me was the relationship between the sound and image.  Other cameraless films I have seen, specifically Stan Brakhage's, did not play with this relationship at all.  Thus, to me, especially as a musician, this film was more interesting than Brakhage's.  Rhythmically aligning the sound with the pacing of the animation must be very tough, certainly since I doubt this was all done digitally.  Another thing that stuck out was the visual texture of the animation.  It was not just lines, but rather very multifaceted imagery.  The colors were also very impressive.  I don't think I would have been able to accurately animate each frame as well as that either, no matter how long I spent trying.
